大连水产学院简介
大连水产学院是我国北方地区唯一的一所以水产学科为特色，理、工、农、管、文等多学科协调发展，硕士、本科、高职多层次教育的高等学校。学校位于风景秀丽的滨城——大连，幽雅的校园依山傍海，景色宜人。
学校创建于1952年，占地69万平方米，拥有海面66.7万平方米。学校下设10个二级学院：生命科学与技术学院、海洋工程学院、机械工程学院、土木工程学院、信息工程学院、经济管理学院、理学院、商务信息学院、职业技术学院、成人教育学院。2个部：研究生部、留学生部。3个校直属系：食品工程系、外语系、文法系。学校设有水产养殖学、捕捞学、农业生物环境与能源工程、水产品加工与贮藏工程、水生生物学、港口、海岸及近岸工程、动物遗传育种与繁殖、动物营养与饲料科学、海洋生物学和渔业资源共10个硕士点和30个本科专业及27个高职专业，有各类学生10000余人。学校已建立了一支较强的师资队伍，在各个学科领域均有造诣较深的学术带头人，在教学和科研方面取得了丰硕的成果。学校积极开展国际交流与合作，已与美国华盛顿大学、英国佩斯利大学、日本东京海洋大学、澳大利亚海洋学院以及韩国釜庆大学等世界上20多所同类大学建立了校际关系。
经辽宁省教育厅批准，大连水产学院于1997年取得留学生招生资格，并开展了初、中、高级汉语培训教育，先后招收了日本、俄罗斯、韩国、美国等国留学生学习汉语。除此以外，我校还与俄罗斯远东水产大学开展了五年制的联合办学项目，接收了相当数量的俄罗斯学生。同时，根据校际交流协议，还有部分交流学生。总之大连水产学院的留学生教育具有多个层次、多种规格和特点，可以满足世界各国朋友的需求。
大连水产学院建立了留学生公寓，可以为留学生提供单人间、双人间、三人间等各种标准的房间。室内主要设施有电视、电话、卫生间等，楼内公共设施有厨房、冰箱、洗衣机等，供留学生使用。

Brief Introduction of Dalian Fisheries
University
Dalian Fisheries University (DFU)
is the only fisheries university in the northern China, integrated
with disciplines of science, engineering, agriculture, management
and arts. There are various educational qualifications available---master’s
degree, bachelor’s degree and associate degree. DFU is located
in the picturesque seaside of Dalian city. The campus is built
at the foot of a hill, surrounded by lawns and trees and offering
panoramic views of the nearby coast.
Founded in 1952, DFU covers 690,000
square meters of land and 667,000 square meters of sea. It has
ten colleges: College of Biological Science and Technology,
College of Oceanic Engineering, College of Mechanical Engineering,
College of Civil Engineering, College of Informational Engineering,
College of Economic Management, College of Science, College
of Commercial Information, College of Vocational Technology
and College of Adult Education. Two faculties: Faculty of Postgraduates,
and Faculty of International Students. And three departments:
Department of Food Engineering , Department of Foreign Languages
and Department of Humanities and Law. DFU also has the authority
to grant 10 master’s degrees of Aquaculture, Fishing, Biological
Environment and Energy Engineering of Agriculture, Aquatic Product
Processing and Preserving Engineering, Hydrobiology, Port、Coast
and Alongshore Engineering, Creature genetic breeding and Increasing,
Creature nutrition and Feedstuff Science ,Halobios and Fisheries
Resources. Besides, it can grant 30 baccalaureate degrees and
27 associate degrees. There are over 10,000 students in various
categories. The faculty members are highly qualified and some
academic staff have earned good reputation for their great achievements
in teaching and scientific research. DFU enjoys significant
interaction with overseas institutions. It has developed formal
links with the following more than 20 institutions around the
world, such as University of Washington, University of Paisley,
Tokyo University of Marine Science and Technology, Australian
Maritime College, Korea PukYong National University and so on.
Through Approval of the Education Department
of LiaoNing Province, DFU acquired the qualification of recruiting
international students in 1997. And it has developed primary,
secondary and senior Chinese language training program. Each
semester, many students from countries such as Japan, Russia,
Korea, and USA join us in this program. In addition, DFU has
undertaken a five-year joint program with Russian Far Eastern
State Institute of Fish Industry and Economy to enroll certain
amounts of Russian students. In the meantime, according to the
exchange agreements, we also have some exchange students. In
general, the study abroad program in DFU has its different levels
and various features which can meet the demands of students
around the world.
DFU has apartments for international students,
including single-bed room, double-bed room and three-bed room.
The indoor facilities are television, telephone, and toilet.
Kitchen, refrigerator and washing machine are shared with other
students.
